Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your stay.
Let me start by saying this website is a constant work in progess and since I am admittedly technologically challenged there are bound to be a few bumps along the road. Please bear with me, and hopefully, your patience will be rewarded.
As time goes on I hope to make the site more interactive, but until the bugs are worked out, I encourage you to take a moment to sign my guestbook. You can also subscribe to the website and receive e-mail notifications of updates or news from the author. Don't worry, your e-mail information will remain private.
If you prefer to keep your communication confidential, you may contact me by e-mail:

Thank you for your interest.
J. A. Anderson is my pen name. I am a fortyish (okay, closer to fifty, but who cares?) female living in a small community in Minnesota. I am married to my soulmate and am the proud mother of two and the even prouder grandmother of four. Please check out the Meet my Peeps section and Spencer & Abby's artwork.
I have been an avid reader since I was old enough to hold a book and I have enjoyed putting words to paper since I can remember. While most kids in school hated book reports, I thought they were a great treat. After all, the assignment combined my favorite hobbies.
Unfortunately, as my fellow writers know, writing isn't an easy way to make a living. So, my dream was put on hold for a good many years while I was raising my two children. I worked for over fifteen years in the field of geriatrics as a Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator. It was in this capacity that I was introduced to the horrific disease called Alzheimers. The devastation this mind robbing disease wreaks on its victims and their families is heartbreaking. Yet, I witnessed such acts of love, compassion and courage by the victims, I was overwhelmed by a desire to pay tribute to them. Stolen Memories is my humble attempt to honor them.
I am currently working on the final revision of my second novel, Lavender Girl. You can read a brief synopsis of this story by clicking onto Lavender Girl in the Nav Bar. The process has been slower than I had hoped, but I am finally beginning to make real progress. My current goal is to have the manuscript completed by the end of May, but that doesn't guarantee anything. Publishing is a fickle business. I can only hope that it may someday be published.
I am currently employed by a small office products store. What could be more heavenly for a writer than being surrounded every day by office supplies? Of course, if given the opportunity, I would write full-time, but in the meantime I can't imagine a more pleasant place to spend my days. Retail can be a challenge at times and it is a frequent inspiration for my blog. Check it out at Jude's Muse and leave a comment or two. I love the input.
Well, that's a little introduction to myself and my world. I'm afraid it isn't very glamorous, but I wouldn't change a thing. Feel free to browse around and don't forget to sign the guest book. Now, if you'll excuse me, I better get back to work. This book isn't writing itself. Darn!
